In a recent development, it has been reported that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is set to commence the recruitment of candidates for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) program in the upcoming second phase of their recruitment drive.

The hopes of B.Ed aspirants to secure government teaching positions have been dampened as Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and the Bihar Education department jointly decide to withhold the results of teacher recruitment exams for B.Ed pass candidates.
Approximately 3.9 lakh B.Ed pass candidates applied for primary-level teaching positions (classes 1 to 5) during the recruitment examination held from August 24-26. As a result, only candidates with a Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) will be considered for the 1.7 lakh government teaching positions in Bihar.
A meeting in Patna on Tuesday, attended by BPSC Chairman Atul Prasad and State Education Additional Chief Secretary K.K. Pathak, resulted in the unanimous decision to halt the release of results for B.Ed pass candidates.
Sources suggest that BPSC will initiate recruitment for DElEd pass candidates in the second phase, with notifications expected in the first week of October this year. The upcoming notification is anticipated to include a significant number of teaching positions for classes six to eight.
The results of the recently concluded examination are projected to be available between September 18-25.
