Bollywood’s beloved film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin, recently marked its decade-long journey. Helmed by director Ayan Mukerji, the movie beautifully captures the essence of friendship, love, and life. Released in 2013, it garnered acclaim for the electrifying chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika, offering a perfect blend of entertainment.

In a candid revelation, Kalki Koechlin, who played the role of Aditi, shared insights about the film. During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she disclosed that she had received warnings not to take up the project, primarily due to the presence of two prominent lead actors. However, her perspective shifted after meeting director Ayan Mukerji. His vivid portrayal of her character and the camaraderie between the protagonists convinced her that it was a worthwhile endeavor.

Kalki’s character, Aditi, was a vital part of the group of four friends, including Bunny, Avi, and newcomer Naina, who embark on a memorable journey to Manali. Despite initially having a crush on Avi, Aditi eventually ties the knot with another character, adding depth to the film’s storyline.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” also featured an ensemble cast, including Farooq Sheikh, Tanvi Azmi, Evelyn Sharma, Poorna Jagannathan, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Rana Daggubati. The film emerged as a major box office success and continues to be cherished by Bollywood enthusiasts.
